Yes. Contact lenses temporarily alter the natural shape of your cornea. To ensure our mapping measurements are perfectly accurate, we typically ask that you stop wearing soft contact lenses for at least one to two weeks, and rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses for several weeks prior to your appointment. Our team will provide exact instructions when you book.
Not at all. The consultation consists of non-invasive digital imaging, reading eye charts, and having your eyes dilated. It is a completely painless process designed to gather precise data about your visual system in a comfortable environment.
